This Fallbrook preserve is really easy to find and has a decent size parking area. This is an easy hike with easy to follow trails that make a loop. My three kids and a couple of friends spent a beautiful March day exploring the preserve. Although this preserve is close to a busy road, you cannot help but feel surrounded by nature while exploring it. Several different types of birds singing you a song from the trees as you spot lizards, butterflies, bunnies, and frogs.
I recommend packing a lunch and bringing your family to this peaceful, dog friendly, preserve. There are several benches to sit on throughout the preserve. If you bring your own picnic blanket you will have no trouble at all finding a wonderful shady spot to have your lunch.
